THE ROLE
Studio Director Maternity Cover (London)

The Studio Director is responsible for the running of Spring Studios spaces, through optimizing studio revenue & occupancy, client relationship and studio production management, establishing rate cards and working with core studio operational teams to ensure client needs are met. Encourage business growth through establishing client connections, maintaining roster and acting on opportunities as and when they present themselves, as well as seeking out new avenues to bring business in.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  

             KEY ACCOUNTABLITIES

 

  • Effectively manage client needs and requirements in line with their expectations to ensure positive feedback from all shoots/ projects taking place in the Studios.

 

  • Proactively gather important client updates to ensure best strategy is in place in order to maximize the opportunity for revenue and increase in occupancy

 

  • Keep finger on the pulse of the industry, and adapt to market changes, highlighting areas of attention to Managing Director

 

  • Establish and manage roster of retainer clients

 

 

  • Drive London studio business, working with New Business teams and Marketing to establish new ways to create business to impact positively on studio department

 

  • Liaise daily with internal Ecom Production to make sure their busy forecast is aligned with studio capacity and all co-working teams are informed of interdepartmental workflow and billing accordingly

 

 

  • Always promote Spring brand, inclusive of offering Agency and Production functions to clients

 

  • Work with Studio and Maintenance Managers in ensuring studio spaces are maintained and make recommendations for improvements.

 

 

FINANCIAL

  • Monitoring and updating when needed, the cost structure for studio spaces, catering  and other services, effectively, inclusive of packages, offering discounts, group bookings and retainers, in line with company growth objective

 

  • Set out studio budget.

 

  • Make sure Studio Quoting and Invoicing is finalised in timely manner for both Internal and External Productions

 

  • Report studio profitability, occupancy, client billing and any other reporting as and when required

 

 

 

MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBLITIES

 

  • Manage studio and catering team effectively, ensuring client expectations are well managed and Spring brand demonstrated in best possible light

 

  • Train and mentor junior team members to increase quality of creative output

 

  • Effectively set meaningful objectives in line with studio strategy, and to develop staff accordingly

 

  • Conduct monthly 1:1 with all direct reports as well as daily/ weekly meetings when, required to provide information on upcoming work or reflect on client feedback and address any urgent issues.

 

 

 

TEAMWORK & COLLABORATION

 

  • Connect and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, at all levels

 

  • Work with other business units to establish collaborative workflow

 

  • Work closely with the internal Production teams to ensure both commercial and ecomm business needs are met

 

  • Continuously support Spring Sustainability board by seeking ways to improve studio sustainable product offerings and daily practices
